JUNIOR ACADEMY

The Front Nine Academy is a certificate program for all junior golfers, ages 5 - 15, wanting to improve their skills both on and off the course.  New members, after being evaluated by our Professional Teaching Staff, will be placed in their appropriate "Course", based on their current skills and experience.

The three courses of the Front Nine Academy are:

• BRONZE - For the new golfer, this course covers elements of safety, fundamentals of grip, stance, alignment, and swinging the club in balance to a full "Trophy" finish.
• SILVER - For the slightly more experienced junior golfer, this level of instruction includes a review of pre-swing fundamentals and full swing techniques, and introduces concepts of chipping, pitching, and putting. This course also includes a brief lesson on the rules and etiquette of golf, as well as the basics of score keeping.
• GOLD - For the intermediate junior golfer, this course will introduce more advanced concepts in the short game such as: sand play, lob shots, reading greens, and putting drills for control of distance and direction. The Gold Course level also includes USGA Rules for Competitive Play, etiquette, pace of play, and course management.

Each "Course" has three separate "Holes" (Levels):
Bronze: Holes 1, 2 & 3
Silver: Holes 4, 5 & 6
Gold: Holes 7, 8 & 9

Upon completion of each "Hole" review, the junior golfer progresses through the "Course" and is awarded a certificate of "Accomplished Status" for each level passed.

Students are able to attend as many as three 1/2 Hour Weekly Sessions.
